UNCLE TOBYS Partnership
UNCLE TOBYS is proudly working together with Royal Life Saving Society - Australia to help children learn to Swim and Survive.
In Australia, drowning remains a leading cause of preventable death in children.
Sadly, more than 50 children between the ages of 0-17 drown every year.
Research conducted by Royal Life Saving Society – Australia reveals that the number of child drowning deaths is unacceptably high. While many children receive an excellent water safety education alarmingly, thousands of Australian children are missing out.
Since 2009, UNCLE TOBYS has been supporting Royal Life Saving Society – Australia to help provide thousands of Australian children with the opportunity to learn to Swim and Survive and raise the importance of swimming and water safety education with parents.
Swim and Survive is a national swimming and water safety initiative of Royal Life Saving that seeks to increase the swimming, water safety and lifesaving skills of all Australian children. The Wonder, Courage and Active programs are structured into skill strands that ensure a balanced, comprehensive instructional approach to children’s aquatic education.
UNCLE TOBYS and Royal Life Saving are helping to prevent child drowning in your local community by raising awareness and funds to provide free or subsidised swimming and water safety lessons for underprivileged children. To find out how you can help, click here.
